Durable Wood Protection
Pressure impregnation, performed in a vessel, is the most high-grade wood protection method which has been used for decades. All the wood we use receives the best possible protection against rot and wood pests. TIP - HOLZ impregnates all of its products with an officially certified wood preserver. Our wood products remain naturally beautiful with little maintenance. We don't talk about vessel pressure impregnation - We guarantee it!
Dimensions and Prices
Wood is a natural product. Due to changes in temperature and humidity degeneration and changes in form and dimension can occur. These have little influence on the functionality and are a naturally process which cannot be prevented. They are not a reason for complaint. All prices are the recommended retails prices by TIP - HOLZ per item including VAT. For the additional brown toning we add an additional charge of 5%
Impregmation
Most customers assume that vessel pressure impregnated wood is always impregnated through and through. This assumption however is not correct. Basically, every tree is made up of two wood components. One is the heartwood, which is responsible for the stability of the tree and the other is the sapwood, which takes care of the nutrition and water transport from the roots to the leaves and back again. Only this sapwood can be impregnated! The impregnation of garden construction wood is therefore dependant on the sapwood content. For instance in the case of a side plank this can be 100%. For a core plank it can be 0%. However, generally heartwood has a higher natural resistance against wood pests.
Appearance
Due to the natural colour of the heartwood and sapwood, differences in colour within a component are dependent on the naturally present colouring.
Farbtöne
TIP - HOLZ offers its vessel pressure impregnated products in two basic tones. An olive green tone is available, which corresponds to a bright, light green wood tone. Furthermore, a brown tone is available, a warm, medium brown wood tone. For "Exclusive Toska" (rounded) two new tones have been introduced into the range: fir green and midnight blue.
